Kariroku

This is a traditional Japanese scented amulet known as “Kariroku (訶梨勒)”.

Originally inspired by the fruit of a medicinal plant from India, it was believed to protect against illness and negative influences. In Japan, it developed into a decorative incense sachet, often hung in tea rooms to gently purify the space and bring a sense of calm.

Filled with natural fragrance, it can be displayed on a wall or placed in a room, where it adds both a subtle scent and a touch of Japanese tradition.
